There are numerous different materials to fill teeth. Most people are familiar with the metal (silver/grey) coloured restorations. Since we are becoming more and more conscious of our smiles and appearance of the teeth more aesthetically pleasing-alternatives to dental amalgams have been devised. White fillings are now available to provide a very accurate colour match to normal tooth appearance.

Most fillings are completed under local anaesthetic to provide a comfortable experience. Any damaged or decayed material is removed from the tooth and then a filling material is placed in effort to replace the tooth normal contours. The restoration is then polished.
